“Code blue!! Code
blue!! Get the Crash cart immediately, the patient on bed 13 is coding” yelled
the doe-eyed doctor giving chest compressions to the patient. The nurses rushed
into ICU with the Crash cart, doctor picks up the AED and yells charge 200!! and
tries to resuscitate the patient. The patient isn't responding, doctor yells
charge 300!! and tries again, still the screen shows a flat line with no sign
of patient's vitals. The doctor is about to call for it and suddenly Vihaan
wakes up from his dream screaming Nooo!!. He's broke out in cold sweat, trying
to gasp his breath and takes a few moments to even up himself. After a while,
the 19year old, tall, slender, raven-haired Vihaan with fair round face and
green eyes like new, fresh baby leaves that just have begun to bloom in the spring,
finds himself in a public park with dead silence. He's been sleep deprived for
days which demanded a nap and he had it in the park under a tree. He gets up,
finds a near-by concrete long high-backed bench and rests on it. Despite the
fluster of traffic and the dust from the streets thereabout, the park is quiet
and pure, thanks to its wideness and vegetation. There are many pathways around
it shut off from traffic by space with colorful flowers and lush green grass.
These plants are in order and clipped well. The colossal trees shield the park
against the torrid heat of the sun, covering most of the park with cool shade.
He glances at his watch, it's quarter to 5 in the evening and gradually people
start flooding in the park. Children start riding their bicycles, adults begin
their marathon walk, chit chatting with each other, a horde of people gathered
for laughter yoga and some people accompanied themselves with their pets.
Vihaan who prefers to be alone these days, decides to leave the park but was
clutched by the hooded eyes of a man filled with shear intensity, heading
towards him. He is 6-foot tall with athletic body, buzz cut hair, dusky square
face with gunslinger beard and mustache, advancing towards Vihaan with an unusual
freaky gait. He takes his seat beside Vihaan, plugs in earphones and plays his
track with arms crossed and legs stretched. His presence subjugates Vihaan.
Vihaan's mobile rings, it's the nurse and he picks up the call. The nurse
informs him that his dad had another cardiac arrest, this made his blood run
cold and then the nurse apprises him that they somehow managed to resuscitate
his dad. He hangs up the call with eyes welled up with tears of choking grief.
His chin trembling, chewing on his lower lip, he bleeds the salt of his soul as
it pours from his eyes. The man beside, notices Vihaan weeping, unplugs his
earphones and just stares at him without uttering a word. Vihaan wiping his
cheeks every few seconds discovers the man beside, staring at him with no
expression. Vihaan tries to ignore him but his expressionless mean-spirited
stare annoys him and he lashes out at the man "stop that hard-hearted
look!! My life is in chaos and things are jumping from frying pan into
fire". Still the man being indifferent stares at him callously. Vihaan
gets exasperated, makes a move, uttering "stone-hearted people" to
which the man replies “life isn't a bed of roses boy". Vihaan stops,
infuriated and bellows "shut the fuck up" and says "what do you
know about me, my life is flooded with problems and I’m drowning every second.
Things are aggravating on and on, leaving no hope for me to recover", Vihaan
continues and lets out all his pain in anger saying “My dad is bedridden with
illness, had cardiac arrest twice and resuscitated with great difficulty. I'm
unable to sleep as I’m horrified with frequent nightmares regarding my dad's
cardiac arrest". The man hangs on every word of Vihaan patiently, glances
at his own left leg then looks at Vihaan and says "There are people on
this planet who are abandoned into dark isolation with unimaginable grief but
boy you're lucky, your dad is still alive" and ends by saying "you
gotta grow a spine". Vihaan isn't expecting such a callous reply which
enraged him and fumes at him yelling "stop that crap!! what do you mean by
grow a spine, it's easy to say such absurd things but only the person
experiencing the situation knows the pain" and bleats " My book has
been rejected by 15 publishers saying i lack imagination and creativity, my family
in regard to our financial status says publishing a book and becoming a writer
isn't my cup of tea", and whines " may be they're right, becoming a
writer isn't my cup of tea and it would be better I stop trying further and
follow my mom's advice to major in computer science in the next fall and take
up a software job". The man scoffs at his decision and says " look at
there!!" ,pointing a grey-shaded Pomeranian dog with short legs and
upright ears, clutched with a reddish brown collar belt fastened to a tree
trunk with its master beside, " that dog is strangled with a collar belt
restricting it's movement within a limited perimeter. There are many things in
this world which hold you back like that collar belt hindering your progress,
you gotta figure out them and shatter the impeding clutches to procure what you
desire", in the meantime, the dog's pet-parent unaware of their
conversation unfastens the belt from the tree and holds it to take his dog for
a walk, looking at this the man adds " And if you fail to do so, someone
else will take over your life and you'll be enslaved to them settling for
mediocrity". The man's words seems sensible and rational to Vihaan but his
anger over him couldn't get away with those words, and carps " do you know
how it feels to be bullied by your fellow mates! They add insult to injury,
exacerbating my situation" to which the man replies with a single
statement saying" Boy, evil requires the sanction of the victim"
which bruises Vihaan's ego and he walks out from the park without looking back, heading home in
vexation. On his way to home, even though his mind accepts the man's words to
be coherent and sagacious but in the fit of anger he chastises him as an
asinine person. Vihaan reaches home, takes a cup of coffee to get rid of that
man's words and rests on the couch. After sometime, he takes a glance at the
newspaper in which he finds the photograph of the man he met in the park. He
gets perplexed, takes the paper in hand and looks at the photograph to make
sure what he has seen. It's the photograph of the same person whom Vihaan met
in the park, titled with a headline “Differently abled mounts Mt.Everest".
This amazes Vihaan and he continues to read the article and learns that the man
had lost his entire family in a tragic road accident and only he managed to
survive with a pernicious injury to his left leg and taken to a near-by
hospital in a village with no proper facilities. His leg was amputated
devoid of anesthesia in order to inhibit the infection. Later he was in a state
of grief-stricken depression for about a year. Then the man decided to extrude
his timidity and mounts the lofty Mt.Everest. After reading that he recalls the
man's unusual freaky gait and his glance at his left leg in the middle of their
conversation, then Vihaan regrets for his abrasive behavior with that man. All
his anger quickly turns into deep respect for the man and Vihaan admires the
man's audacious courage. He then finds a sentence with bold letters in the
article said by the man in his interview “MOUNT YOUR BARRICADES WITH INDOMITABLE COURAGE", this electrifies him, erects hair on his forearms and he extols him, saying “What a stout-hearted guy!!".

'PERSPECTIVE'
A tall, scrawny juvenile teen with messy jet black hair and pallid face, embarks his journey to morning tutorials carrying his exhausting bag. He takes a glance at his watch and it's quarter past 6, he then looks up to the sky which is still dark blue waiting for the sun to show up. He surmises the sun as a work-shy guy and takes pride in starting his day before him. As he moves, he's hit by the cold breeze freezing to his bone but that didn't cease his journey. The road is filled with dried pale yellow leaves as the trees started shedding them, indicating the onset of Autumn. He looks at the leaves on the road, then the deciduous trees alongside and ridicules trees as feeble babies shedding tears as they shed their leaves. He says to himself in a supercilious voice that he is superior to trees as he could endure the harsh weather changes. As he hastens further, trampling the dried leaves making a rustling sound, the vicinal birds start fluttering away. He scoffs at them as he patronizes the birds to be cowardly namby-pamby beings. He ranks himself above them as he regards himself to be lionhearted who doesn't run away from adversities.
Explanation :
In the above story the juvenile teen is an egotist and judgemental with preconceived notions and fallacious information.
He surmised the sun as a work-shy guy as the sun didn't show up yet. But if we see it the other way, it was the autumn (transition from summer to winter) which leads to longer nights and shorter days, so the sun rises late.
He mocked at trees as feeble babies as they couldn't withstand the cold and shed their leaves but it was the tree's strategy to conserve water and energy in autumn which makes them foresighted and provident.
He belittled the birds to be coward as they flew away but it's the bird's way of fighting the adversities with their puissant weapon of feathers.
Conclusion :
The above story was in the perspective of the juvenile teen but if we make an attempt to contemplate the story in the perspective of the sun, tree and bird ,it turns out to be other way around. So never jump into a conclusion with just your perspective rather try to look at other's perspective too.

"Early Failure"
Hey everyone , At some point in life you all have tasted the savor of failure. You might have started something with all hope and encountered failure in the middle of your journey but what if you confront with failure as soon as you just begin your journey. Well, that's called an 'Early failure'.
A naive captain sails off his ship in the path of his goal with all the valour and hope to reach his destination but right at the onset of the sail if a failure occurs then it unnerves the captain ,shattering his hope, knocking down his valour and the situation exacerbates as the captain lacks enough experience with handling failures.
What makes one get trapped in an early failure??
There may be many reasons for an early failure, each one comes up with their own but on a general note there are few reasons as follows.
Lack of enough faith in oneself at the onset of journey may lead to an early failure. When one starts his voyage for his goal then the world immediately reminds him of the drowned titanic, intimidating the captain and he loses faith in himself and lands in an early failure. The world is always there to ridicule and dampen your confidence but listening to their absurd warnings and alarms at the stake of your faith in yourself, leads you nowhere. The second blunder people often make is aping others. A seed sown in soil takes water, sunlight and air but it doesn't emulate any of them. It doesn't try to become water or sunlight or air, it just takes the required things from them and use it to develop into a whole new plant. So mere aping doesn't help you, one must assimilate the spirit of others, yet preserve his individuality and grow according to his own law of growth. The third mistake people do is underestimating the things. They usually see the end result and tend to belittle the entire structure behind it. The fourth gaffe is wanting too much too quickly. No one can become an overnight Millionaire unless one robs a chain of banks. Lionel Messi once said "I start early i stay late, day after day, year after year and it took me 17 years and 114 days to become an overnight success". It requires patience and persistent effort in the pursuit of one's goal. The fifth thing is lack of flexibility and adaptability. The adamant nature of Nokia and Kodak led to their downfall. One should be firm with his goal but flexible with the ways of achieving it.
Avoiding all these mistakes may help one to dodge the early failures.
But what if one already got trapped in an early failure??
When one encounters an early failure he goes down in dumps with annihilated hope and confidence. Multiple emotions tend to pop up and one undergoes a severe mental trauma with whimsical tantrums. Lack of enough experience aggravates the situation. Self-doubt arises and fear impedes the courage to make a step.
Even though it's horrifying one can get through this daunting situation and rise above the early failure and make way to his destination. The first thing one should do is not to lose one's calm and try to be placid. Next, accept one's failure without any excuses then, analyze the reasons behind the failure and fix them. Seek advice from more experienced people, set up a right backup plan and sail again. People stagger when self-doubt arises but if seen in an optimistic way, self-doubt is a boon. It makes people to think several times before making a move. Things turn into boon when viewed in an optimistic way. So a positive attitude also plays a vital role. One should also view the bigger picture and doesn't get disheartened with the instantaneous failures.
What can one gain from an early failure??
When one climbs up a mountain he may undergo some backslides. All those little regressions doesn't cost him much but if he manages well all his way and relapses when he is just about to make it to the top then it would be devastating and costs him a lot. All the little regressions on our path, add enough experience and knowledge to abscond the catastrophic downfall. And even if one encounters a major descent then he would be enough skilled to tackle it and make his way to top again within no time.

Backslides may fail you but once you step-down then you are defeated.

"Person with you"
Guys whenever we come across an obnoxious situation in our life we often wish for a person to embolden us to get enough nerve to face the situation. Sometimes that person would be our friend, parent, sibling or anyone who care for us.
But is there any person who would be with us 24×7, taking care of us , supporting us and make our situations better?
let's find out....
let's find out....
Guys Life is full of ups and downs. Sometimes situations become so terrible that we are at worst down on our knees facing the hardships of life. Things seem to jump from the frying pan into the fire and we discover that the light at the end of the tunnel is the headlight of an oncoming train.
At those times we wish for a person to come, understand our situation and help us. We scroll all our contacts to find that person.
Our friends, siblings and even our parents would be with us for utmost 99.9% but what about that 0.1℅. That 0.1℅ leaves us all alone. We wished for a person who would be with us 24×7 giving their100℅ time but will that happen? Definitely not.
No one will give all their time for us. It's only we who could do that. The person who understands your situation better than anyone else and bring out the right solution is the person you itself.

So guys if you are going through that 0.1℅ then stop expecting for someone and walk through it all alone with a heart of oak. It's a great opportunity to know your abilities. In this path of 0.1℅ you learn to convert your weaknesses into strengths becoming stronger and wiser.

"A SMILING SCAR"
'A Smiling Scar'
Hey everybody, what's the first thing that strikes your mind when I say 'A smiling scar'........
Hey everybody, what's the first thing that strikes your mind when I say 'A smiling scar'........
Sometimes, unintentionally, in the fit of anger, our loved ones hurt us to such an extent that, it becomes difficult for us to forgive them. As the situation demands, they completely lose their senses and yell at us.Their sharp words Pierce our heart, leaving behind a deep scar.
Even after a lot of try ,we fail to understand them because we are badly hurt by their words. People never be who they are when anger overpowers them. At once, words let out by people who were the reason for our smile turn out to be the reason for our tears, only and only because of a controllable emotion called anger. Who once were the key for our happiness, throw us into deep dark rooms of unbearable grief.
Later when all their anger gets cooled down returning them to their senses, the loss is already done. The moment they realize that their never meant words pained us to tears, a huge heap of regret suffocates their breath. When they recall what they did, they feel ashamed of themselves. This feeling of theirs knocks down their courage to stand in front of us.
Later that regret turns to guilt and makes it more difficult for them to handle. As the famous adage says, "TIME IS THE BEST HEALER" , they return to us after a few days and unable to look into our eyes , tries to explain the situation saying that it was not intentional. After gathering all their bravery they do ask for forgiveness.

After gathering all their bravery they do ask for forgiveness.
But it is difficult for us to forgive them as their words had mortified and shattered our heart into pieces.Whenever we encounter them ,we tend to recall all their words and actions which grieved us a lot. We can neither forgive nor forget them. And the worse part is that we can't even get away from them and move on in our lives because after all they were the ones who once meant our world.
At this point, life again surprises us with two options, either to forgive them or get away from them.
If we choose the second option, in due course of time, may be the wounds of their words heal but those impressions still remain and turn into scars which never fade so easily.
But if we go for the first option which is terribly difficult and try to forgive them, it would give them another chance and bring back the reconciliation to some extent. And may be who knows it can even bring back the spark of magic in our relation that we once had. Even though we forgive them , the scars still remain . But yes, there is a chance that our dear ones once again become the reason for our smile that would obviously dominate those scars.
If we choose the second option, in due course of time, may be the wounds of their words heal but those impressions still remain and turn into scars which never fade so easily.

Then gradually all those scars turn into smiles making it amazingly beautiful once again.
" It's always good to give our loved ones a second chance''
" It's always good to give our loved ones a second chance''
So the first thing that strikes my mind listening to the word 'A smiling scar' is 'Forgiveness', which is the most strongest and the most basic tinge of every relation.

"SILENCE"
People believe that speech and words serve the best medium to express one's feelings.
No! It's not true. Words and speech doesn't give the heart, a chance to express itself.
It's the "Silence" that gives the heart, its complete freedom to express.
"Heart beat can be completely felt only in silence".
I think you got my point and now it completely makes sense right!
Now, think of a river. It actually originates at a mountain top. Glaciers melt and river
starts its journey and ends at sea. The river travels all the way from the mountain top to the
sea. If you carefully observe, the river is in its utmost pure form at its origin, 'The mountain top'
but as it travels, it tends to lose its purity and gradually ends its journey.
Similarly, feelings originate at heart and travel through words and speech. At heart, the
feelings are at their utmost purity. As the words and speech carry them, they tend to lose their purity, intensity and above all the actual emotion.
"Words and speech fail to express the actual emotion".
Silence is the only way through which the feelings of a person can be felt with the actual emotion as it drives us to the origin place, 'The heart' of the person. Silence doesn't amplify or attenuate the emotion behind the feelings, it clearly delivers them right from the heart. All the feelings 'Happiness, grief, gratitude.....everything can be expressed through silence with utmost precision.
"Silence is a language which gives the heart its complete freedom to express itself.
And only the person who understands our silence, can understand our feelings
and feel our heart's emotions".
